API Format

We try to keep the format short and simple, so everyone can use it or develop own source scripts or APIs.
Any XML which is well-formed and follows the sample/guidelines can be implemented with the visual widgets.

When using the widget builder, use the URL to the XML file (or to the script with the XML output) as alternative data source.
If your script performs a search or lists images (articles, posts, thumbnails, photos) of a category, it’s recommend to define the $_GET["q"] parameter for the search term/keyword or category-ID (e.g. …?q=%123 for category 123). If you are following these instructions, save the path to this script in your Control Panel -> Settings -> Source to use the widget builder’s input for search term.

For support, assistance or feedback, please don’t hessitate and contact us.

  • Amazon (example XML request: Digicam)
  • Ebay (example XML request: Tablet PC (ebay.com), T-Shirt (ebay.de))
  • Zanox (example XML request: iPhone)

Developers are cordially invited to add support to further shops, CMS, blogs and other web software. We will publish further Open Source APIs for visual widgets soon.
